Our infamous winter camp approaches one month ahead of schedule due to the Olympic games. The new date is expected to be the third weekend in January. For more information about the event visit www.rovent.ca. For any newcomers we have equipment to keep you warm, we just need to know in advance. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.
For those that missed it…
St. Paul’s Hospital, VGH, and Covenant House would like to thank each school that participated. Cambie Secondary dominated the competition with over 2300 pairs.
First Responders graduates and their parents gathered at the Ralph Fisher Auditorium of the Richmond Hospital tonight to celebrate their accomplishments and receive their wall certificates, pins and badges. Congratulations to all the students from various high schools that successfully complete the course this year! Many thanks to Jeff for his time and effort put into the First Responders program.
In addition to the certificates presentation, special mention goes to the First Responders team at Cambie Secondary. They raised over 1000 pairs of socks for the SockWars, setting a brand new record for other teams to beat next year. SockWars is an annual event that helps raise socks and money for several hospital programs in Vancouver. Thank you to all the teams that have participated this year!
